“Merry Christmas, baby,” she whispered. “I love you, Ben. I love our girls, love the life we have here together. Having all of you has been the most fantastic adventure of my life.”
“I love you, too, Lauren,” he murmured in return. “Though I’d use another word to describe the life we’ve made together – sensational.”
The End
Dear Readers:
I hope you enjoyed Lauren’s long-awaited story. She was an incredibly fun character to write about, and all of us need a friend like her in our lives! I’m so glad that I was finally able to give her an HEA of her own.
I need to thank a number of people who have continued to help me along the way in this self-publishing journey, and without whom I would have thrown in the towel some time ago. First up is my awesome publicist Nicole Blanchard at IndieSage PR, who has provided invaluable assistance and ideas. Next are all of the many bloggers and reviewers who have participated in blog tours, cover reveals, etc. and who have been so gracious as to allow authors like myself to continually bombard their Facebook pages with teasers, covers, buy links, etc. You are all amazing, awesome, and wonderful and I will always do whatever I can to support you in return.
Finally, I need to thank my readers. I don’t have many fans but the ones I do have been fiercely loyal to me and let me know how much they enjoy my books and characters. It is you dedicated fans who continue to motivate and encourage me to write, even when I get a negative rating or less than desirable review. When I’m feeling the most down and discouraged, I’ll often go back and re-read your messages and words of praise, and know that it’s for readers like you that I continue to write.
There are two more books planned in the Inevitable series – Serenity, which is Sasha and Matthew’s story, and Stronger, which will be about Cara and Dante. I might, however, take a little turn in the road before I write their stories, and instead write a prequel and sequel to Splendor, which continues to be my favorite of the books. Nothing is for sure just yet, but it’s a dream of mine to spin Splendor off into its own series/trilogy (called the Splendor series). Book One would begin when Tessa was still a teenager, and get into more depth about her complicated relationship with Peter, as well as detail Ian’s life in England before moving to the U.S., and then end with the scene at the Christmas party when Ian finally realizes he has a chance with Tessa after all. Book Two would contain the bulk of Splendor as it is written now, beginning with the scene immediately after the Christmas party, and would contain some extra scenes as well as having others pared down/summarized as they would have been detailed in the first book. And Book Three will be the sequel – lots and lots and lots of HEA, weddings, babies, etc. I’ll have more information on future books later this year.
Thank you again for continuing on this journey with me, and for loving these characters as much as I do. Please do continue to keep in touch! I love hearing from readers, bloggers, and reviewers and do my very best to reply to your messages as quickly as possible.
Happy Reading!
