Ashley laughed. “That’s good.” She hugged him and breathed in. “I missed your cologne. Next time, I’ll visit more on the weekends.”
“Yes.” Caz’s smile had her favorite wicked edge.
“Did you get your UCLA registration complete?”
“Yeah. And we have three weeks off until the semester starts. I can’t remember the last time I had three weeks off.”
Ashley squeezed his hand. “You’ll love it.”
Caz scanned the campus. “One semester on, and one off. Your baby brother will be in college before I finish my bachelor’s.”
“You are so looking forward to it.”
“Yeah. And maybe your dad will ease up, now that I’m a student.”
“Maybe. Mom and Dad want us to come to dinner. I try and eat there as much as possible to ease Mom into her new California lifestyle. Dad’s trying too.”
“Your Mom and Dad want me to come over?”
“Mom does.”
Caz nodded. They neared the ice-blue car.
Ashley’s eyebrows raised. “Nice car.”
“I picked the color, but the car was a bonus from the studio.”
“Huh, I’m not sure I received a gift for all my work as a PA.”
Caz opened her car door and kissed away her smirk. “You got me.”
